Lynchmada formed in 2002 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, emerging as part of Australia’s heavy music scene with a groove-driven blend of hardcore and metalcore. Early releases, including The Biggest Disappointment Is You EP and their debut full-length album The Other Mexico, helped establish the band nationally.

In 2011, Lynchmada released To The Earth, mixed by acclaimed producer Zeuss, known for his work with bands including Hatebreed, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, Whitechapel, and Rob Zombie. The band followed with singles “Immerser,” “Green River,” and “Reptile Summer.” They shared stages with international acts such as Lamb of God, Suicide Silence, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Testament, and supported Cavalera Conspiracy on their 2012 Australian tour.

The band disbanded in 2014 but returned for select special appearances, including The New Dead Festival in Adelaide in 2018 and a commemorative performance honoring the late Scott Niblock, raising funds and awareness for Support Act in January 2019 - marking the last time the band played live.
