Tasmania’s Permafog (formed in 2014), are a five piece blizzard from the country’s most southern city; Hobart.

Permafog have been sculpting their live assault through performances within the tight-knit Tassie underground for over a decade - spearheading shows with the many local acts; the ‘Fog have also honed their live perfromances alongside the high ranking Ruins, King, Abramelin, Bölzer, and recently Cavalera in January 25. That year also saw the release of the self-titled & released, debut full-length album, which featured as “Into the NecroSphere” podcast’s album of the week among many other well recieved reviews.

Permafog meld Heavy Metal, second-wave Black Metal with 90’s Death Metal oveetures. Boasting a twin vocal and guitar attack, pummeling percussion and depth-charged bass to ensure a blasphermous, heathen bulldozer with a strict approach.

Permafog seek to leave their Southern shores and once again take to mainland stages in the shape of this year’s
NecroSonic Festival in support of the 2026 EP “Evil Excrete”.
